About Us
Early in his career Tony accepted roles as Chief of Staff to four successive Ministers of the Crown in New South Wales, the most populous state of Australia. He then moved to the New South Wales Office of Fair Trading, and gained extensive experience in the Consumer Protection space before being appointed Manager of Special Investigations for the Department.
In 1990 Tony resigned from the Department of Fair Trading to take up a role as General Counsel for Amway of Australia, and in the ensuing years worked in or supported Amway’s legal responsibilities in Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Indonesia d the Philippines and India. In 2013 Tony accepted an offer to support the Amway India affiliate and relocated to Delhi to take up a role as Amway India’s Director of Legal Services; he returned from that assignment at the end of 2014 to resume his practise as a consulting lawyer and public notary in Sydney.
As practising lawyer Tony has extensive experience in trade practices law and the regulatory environment affecting the manufacture, distribution and sale of fast moving consumer products. His particular area of specialty centres around consumer law and industry self-regulation. His interest in International Law led Tony to seek qualification as a Notary Public in 2007 and he has developed an extensive Public Notarial practice serving both corporate and private clients across Sydney since then.
Tony served as Chairman of the Direct Selling Association of Australia in 2008, 2009 and 2010; in 2013 his contribution to the direct selling industry was recognised when Tony was unanimously voted as a Life Member of the Association, and as a member of the Association’s Hall of Fame.
Tony holds qualifications in law and public administration and is admitted as a Legal Practitioner in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia and is a long standing member of the Australian Society of Public Notaries. His standing as Public Notary is recognised through his Seal of Office being registered with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Tony has been married to Loretta for 44 years and has four children and two grandchildren. His hobbies include Golf, Reading and Cooking.
